Founder of Chelmsford based Beanstalk Marketing delivers cheque of £31,340.99 to the Bliss Fundraising Team

Gavin Burt, the founder and co-Director of Chelmsford based Beanstalk Marketing handed Bliss, the special care baby charity, a cheque for £31,340.99 on Thursday 19 January at Bliss’ HQ in London. Gavin fundraised for the charity by taking on the Three Peak Challenge last year; a non-stop attempt to reach the summits of Ben Nevis, Scaffell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours.

80,000 babies are born premature or sick in the UK every year and in need of specialist care. Bliss exists to ensure that all babies born too soon, too small or too sick in the UK have the best possible chance of survival and of reaching their full potential.

Gavin, who lives in Chelmsford, organised teams to take part using contacts through networking group BNI (an organisation that helps businesses in a local area to develop). Gavin co-ordinated nine teams, from across the UK, with over 60 people taking part in the challenge, as well as fundraising including a glittering charity ball sponsored by Mercedes in Chelmsford.

Gavin said: “The teams experienced appalling weather conditions with winds gusting at 80 mph, occasional blizzards and temperatures of -17C at the top of Ben Nevis.  However, we were all prepared to take this on to raise money for the fantastic work that Bliss do”

Gavin took time out from his rapidly expanding company to organise and complete the challenge.   The 20 strong Beanstalk Marketing team, based in Chelmsford, are experts at helping businesses to grow, despite the doom and gloom of the current economic climate.

Bliss’ National Projects Manager Patrick Browne says: “The three peaks challenge is an incredible fundraising event and we are extremely grateful to Gavin and the members of BNI who raised such a generous amount by taking part to raise vital funds for Bliss. This money will help Bliss support babies and their families during an incredibly difficult and stressful time.”

Chelmsford MP and Minister for State for Health Simon Burns said “It is a truly fantastic achievement to have raised so much money for Bliss and all those who took part should feel very proud of themselves.”

Converting Web Traffic into Sales

Integrated B2B Telesales and Marketing agency Beanstalk have launched Lead Insight to help companies get the maximum from traffic to their website.

So many B2B buyers use the web as a first step to find potential suppliers.  But of course, these much sought after prospects look at your competitors’ websites as well as yours, so many of the potential leads that are available simply pass you by without even making an enquiry.

Lead Insight provides full contact details of companies that have visited your website.  Not just stats or analysis, but full company name and contact details.  This actionable insight enables you to turn web traffic into hot, qualified leads and sales.

Knowing which companies have been on your website, which pages they have visited and for how long enables you to engage with them at an early stage of the sales cycle.

Lead Insight works but intelligently tracking the unique IP footprint that a business leaves when someone visits your website.  Our software is able to recognise the businesses’ IP address and provide the all-important detail of their company name, phone number and website address: the very data you need to identify the prospect and initiate a conversation with them.

Does pay-per-lead Telemarketing generate more sales?

The question is often asked whether it is better to pay-per-lead or agree a fixed daily or project rate with your chosen B2B Telemarketing Company.

Pay-per-lead has some obvious benefits, or at least ostensibly: a fixed number of appointments for your marketing budget.

But scratch the surface a little and your perspective may change. Ask yourself a couple of questions:

1. How much do you value your brand and reputation?
